Thrive was developed in 2017 as a collaborative effort by the Salisbury Independent and MAC, Inc. to connect the community with local businesses and services offering seniors the best ways for them to enjoy a long and comfortable life. The success of the event in Salisbury has helped to grow this event into Dorchester and Somerset Counties, allowing more seniors to reach the resources they may need. 

Our vendors are sure to cover all your needs offering the information and products to make your life easier including insurance, health and fitness, mobility assistance, senior living, financial services, home improvements and so much more. So, bring your questions and go home with some peace of mind! Our vendors always show up and show off with some wonderful giveaway items and fabulous door prizes that will be awarded throughout the day.

There will be a variety of presentations and demonstrations planned for throughout the day including:  

10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. - 50/50 Raffle

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. - Food Trucks offering sandwiches including pulled pork, grilled chicken, shrimp salad, in addition to New Orleans Gumbo, fish tacos and Caesar salad plus drinks. Dining room will be open for lunch-time seating.

10 - 10:30 a.m. - Learn about the New Community for Life Program, Education Wing

10-10:15 a.m. - Know the Ten Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease followed by tour of new Life Bridges Program, Life Bridges

10:30-10:45 a.m. - See the latest technology available for Caregivers with Q&A to follow, Caregiver Resource Inter-Active Lab

10:30-10:45 a.m. - Simple stretch & tone Wellness Demonstration, Gym

10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. -  Caring for a Loved One – How to keep your ship from sinking (legal, financial, other), Education Wing

10:50 a.m. – First Door Prize Drawing of the Day.  No need to be present to win. Winners drawn hourly.

Should you get hungry, not to worry, because we have arranged to have some scrumptious food available just outside from some top-rated food trucks. The menus will a variety of sandwiches including pulled pork, grilled chicken, shrimp salad, in addition to New Orleans Gumbo, fish tacos and Caesar salad, plus drinks.  Could you ask for more?

As you walk through the expo and the building, please remember that this beautiful venue, owned and run by MAC, Inc. Area Agency on Aging, is open all year to serve you.
